This post is from a 2020 post on my Facebook page.
In 1959, Fidel Castro said to American news media, “I have said very clearly — we are not communists.” In December 1961, Castro declared, “I am a Marxist-Leninist and shall be one until the end of my life.“
A sleepless night, a time for reflection, an opportunity to ponder the trajectory of American life that is apparently careening toward socialism.
My wife and I experienced first-hand communism and socialism through numerous missionary visits to Cuba.
We befriended one of the formerly wealthy businessmen who financed Castro’s ‘revolution’ He said, “He [Castro] never told us he was a communist.“
In 1959, the Cuban economy was the fourth largest in the western hemisphere. The Cuban average standard of living at the time of the Marxist takeover was actually higher than the average standard of living in this country.
Our personal experiences in Cuba validated Winston Churchill’s description of socialism: “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.”
Our Rockwall County Hispanic Republican Club (RCHRC) includes refugees from Cuba, Argentina, and Venezuela — all naturalized U.S. citizens.
At the most recent monthly meeting, our member from Venezuela described how there were warnings against the socialist goals of Hugo Chávez. “But we are not Cuba“, the Chavistas said. No, Venezuela was not and is not Cuba. Today, Venezuelans today have a much worse situation than do Cubans.
The march toward communism first passes through socialism. I see former President Barack Obama as the ‘gatekeeper’ of communism in our country. He is well qualified to draw up the blueprint. How so? He was born to communist parents, raised by communist grandparents, and was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis.
“Frank Marshall Davis (1905-1987) was a Communist Party USA (CPUSA) propagandist in Chicago and Hawaii, as well as a writer and poet. The FBI had Davis under investigation or surveillance for 19 years, compiling a 600-page FBI file. He was on the FBI’s ‘Security Index A’, meaning he would be arrested in the event of national emergency.” – Frank Marshall Davis Bio
If former VP Joe Biden becomes President, his cabinet picks reveal how Christians will be blocked out of government, socialist policies will swiftly be enacted, and the economy will parallel the bankruptcy of Cuba and Venezuela.
Do these things anger you? Good! Anger is good because it motivates people to act. Before we act, we must choose wisely.
Ephesians 4:26, the Amplified version, says, “Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down.“
Allow your anger to move you to prayer. “God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.”
Pray as an intercessor for President Trump. Our President, and by extension Republican voters, are under attack by an unseen enemy. The actors are Democrats and some Republicans but they are marching to the orders of Satan, led by unholy spirits.
Pray as an intercessor for your fellow Americans who presently align themselves with the Democratic Party.
Communist Vladimir Lenin infamously postulated, “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.“
The takeaway from this post: Communists always lie.
May God have mercy on us.
