ORIGIN OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION
All we know as western civilization is due to Christianity. Not in a particular order, the general characteristics of western civilization include, but are not limited to:

- Democratic vote
- Accountability
- Personal Responsibility
MODULAR WESTERN CIVILIZATION
The smallest element of western civilization is self-government. This element depends on a personal relationship with Holy Spirit whose presence in a person’s life produces the fruits of the Spirit.

- Gentleness
- Self-Control (Self-Government)
Western Civilization cannot survive apart from most of the people governing themselves. Hallmarks of self-control are:
- Understands and appreciates lawful and spiritual authority
- Able to keep emotions in check
- Decisions driven by logic and reason and not by emotions
- Do not accept offenses
- Not driven by fear
- Not envious of others
- Able to say no, regardless of social or financial pressures
- Able to set boundaries, to control oneself
- Not hasty with decisions —not given to impulsiveness
- Forgiving of the offenses by others and by oneself
- Learns from personal failures but does not dwell on them
- Not affected by personal rejection and understands the difference between a rejection and an objection
- Self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses
THE ROLE OF CIVIL GOVERNMENT

This key phrase — all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights — means all men have rights that come from God and not from humans. The second key phrase — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed — is a safeguard against tyranny.
REPUBLICAN GOVERNMENT
Republican government is not a political party. And, our system of government is not a democracy because we the people do not vote directly for policies; we elect representatives who vote for policies.
Republican government defined: (1) a form of government in which the people or their elected representatives possess the supreme power; (2) a constitutional form in which the head of state is an elected or nominated president
Etymology of the word republic | Latin rēs pūblica, equivalent. to rēs thing, entity + pūblica public; “the people’s thing”. From the preamble to the U.S. Constitution: “We the People”.
SUMMARY
The American way of life continues if Christianity continues and grows. As President John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Our long-standing immigration policies were not put in place to deny any good thing to those who risk life and limb to come to America; our policies exist to properly educate and assimilate prospective immigrants to preserve our republican form of government.
