Who are the Palestinians? Americans need to know.

“Regarding the Palestinian Arabs, the first point to make is that many of them are not originally Palestinians at all. They are immigrants who came to the Land of Israel from all over the Arab world during the British Mandate in order to find employment in the cities and on the farms the Jews had built. These immigrants still have names like Hourani (from Houran in southern Syria), Tzurani (from Tyre in southern Lebanon), Zrakawi (from Mazraka in Jordan), Masri (the Egyptian), Hijazi (from the Hijaz province of the Arabian peninsula), Mughrabi (from the Maghreb), and many other names that point to their true geographical origins. Why, ask the other Arabs, should they get preferential treatment over those who remained in their original countries?”—The Began-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, September 24, 2020 | Why Do the Arabs Hate the Palestinians?

Yet there is one singular group that continues to spurn offers of statehood, missing and wasting numerous opportunities, and blaming others for its “victimhood”- and then commits horrendous acts of terrorism and violence when offered almost all of what it wants. We are referring, of course, to the Palestinian Arabs – a people who, unlike the Kurds, do not have their own religion, language, or culture that’s different in essence from their Arab brethren in neighboring “ŽJordan, Syria, and Lebanon. The Palestinian Arabs have answered every peace offer for their own “Palestinian” state with one unequivocal word, “no,” and then initiated a wave of hatred, violence, and terrorism. The reason? Because it would also mean recognition of and co-existence with a non-Arab people, the Jews.”— the algemeiner, February 18, 2014 | Palestinian Arabs – The People Who Always Refuse a State

In 1988 he [Yasser Arafat] acknowledged Israel’s right to exist, and in 1993, he formally recognized Israel during direct talks regarding land controlled by Israel since the Six-Day War. In 1994, he shared the Nobel Prize for Peace with Israelis Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres. In 1996, he became president of the new Palestinian Authority.”—Britannica, The Editors of Encyclopaedia. “Yāsir ʿArafāt summary”. Southeast Michigan – specifically cities like Hamtramck and Dearborn – is known as a hub of Arab American culture. But that group is not a monolith. Individual ethnic groups have their own cultures, cuisines, and stories about how they settled down in Michigan. That includes the more than 30,000 Yemeni Americans living in the region.

The origin story of how the Yemeni community in Michigan is an interesting one. Way back in the early 1900s, Henry Ford started recruiting Yemeni workers to work at Ford’s factories. After a few years, Ford sent for more workers and the Yemeni American community began to grow. People who gained citizenship during their time working for Ford brought family over and started lives in Michigan while remaining close to their family back in Yemen.

Now more than 30,000 Yemeni Americans live in Michigan. In recent years, the civil war in Yemen, and subsequent humanitarian crisis, has driven a new wave of immigration.”—Michigan Radio, September 1, 2020 | Recruited by Ford a century ago, Michigan’s Yemeni community has come into its own

Henry Ford published the weekly The Dearborn Independent from 1919 to 1927 as a forum for his views. Between 1920 and 1922, the paper ran a series of front-page articles (penned by its editor, William Cameron) entitled The International Jew that denounced all things Jewish. Many of these articles were later compiled, reprinted, and distributed in a four-volume set. These defamatory articles exposed Ford’s deep anti-Semitic sentiments and sadly legitimized these prejudices to hundreds of thousands of readers. Though Ford later apologized and printed a retraction, this episode forever tarnished the influential automaker’s reputation.“—The Henry Ford Museum | The International Jew – The World’s Foremost Problem, Volume 3, “Jewish Influences in American Life,” 1921

“At a ceremony in Dearborn, Michigan, Henry Ford is presented with the Grand Cross of the Supreme Order of the German Eagle on his 75th birthday. Henry Ford was the first American recipient of this order, an honor created in 1937 by Adolf Hitler.

This was the highest honor Nazi Germany could give to any foreigner and represented Adolf Hitler’s personal admiration and indebtedness to Henry Ford. The presentation was made by Karl Kapp, the German consul in Cleveland, and Fritz Heller, German consular representative in Detroit.”—Rare Historical Photos | Henry Ford receiving the Grand Cross of the German Eagle from Nazi officials, 1938

And then there is Rashida Tlaib

Washington, DC – United States Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has introduced a resolution to recognise the Palestinian Nakba, the term used to describe the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians before and during the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.

The measure, put forward in the US House of Representatives on Wednesday, comes amid a growing push by progressives in the US to advance Palestinian rights and restrict US aid to Israel.”—Al Jazeera, May 11, 2023 | Rashida Tlaib pushes for Palestinian Nakba recognition in US

Israeli witnesses say Gazan women, children and elderly participated in Oct. 7 Hamas attack in southern Israel

My Opinion: Palestinians will never be forced out of Israel. No Arab country wants them. Israel is stuck with a Heinz-57 Mixture of people from several Muslim nations. None are native to Gaza or the West Bank of the Jordan River. Not for even one second do I underestimate the potential danger of Palestinians endangering Israeli citizens. Palestinians in the United States

According to World Population Review Palestinian Population by State 2023, there are Palestinians living in all 50 states. California, with a Palestinian population of 25, 989, leads, followed by Illinois with 17,261, and Texas with 13,493.

Due to the unknown number of Palestinian illegal aliens who have entered the United States by invitation of Joe “Open Borders” Biden, the count would without a doubt alarm Americans.

Are Palestinians a threat to America? Judging by the blatant support of Hamas by Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI 12), yes, we are endangered.

Quran

The term “Bible” is not found in the Quran; instead the Quran refers to specific books of the Bible, including the Torah (توراة, Tawrah), Psalms (الزَّبُورُ, Zabur) and Gospel (إنجيل, Injil).[2] The Quran also refers to suhuf, meaning scrolls, along with the term al-Kitāb (Quran 3:23).[3] Al-Kitāb means “the book” and is found 97 times in the Quran.[2]

Sources

References to the Bible, in the modern sense, are often fragmentary, since Muslims do not refer to the biblical canon of Chalcedonian churches. First references to the biblical canon can be found from the 9th century onwards, in Muslim writings. Ibn Qutaybah (d. 889), for example, included a translation of Genesis 1–3. Imam al-Qasim ibn Ibrahim (860) included a large portion of the Book of Matthew in his Refutation of Christians.[4] Most Christians Muslims encountered in early years have been NestoriansMelkites and Jacobites. According to a hadith, Ubayy ibn Ka’b, a Jewish convert, referred to a story of the Torah which is absent in today’s canon.[5]

Torah (Tawrah)

Main articles: Tawrah and Torah

The Quran mentions the word Tawrah (Torah) eighteen times, and confirms that it was the word of God. When referring to traditions from the Tawrat, Muslims have not only identified it with the Pentateuch (the five books of Moses), but also with the other books of the Hebrew Bible.[6]

The above topics [Quran, Sources, Torah] are from Wikipedia article Islamic view of the Bible.

To understand the history of Gaza, read History of Jews in the Middle East.

The nation of Israel, ancient Israel, began in Gerar, Gaza, where Isaac, the heir of Abraham, was born.

The Old Testament, the Jewish Torah, is the oldest, most complete recorded history of the Middle East.

Muslims know the names of the sons of Abraham because the Torah is their source of information. The Muslims want very much for the world to accept Ishmael as the rightful heir of Abraham, but indisputable historical facts prove Isaac, born in Gerar, Gaza, fourteen years after the birth of Ishamael, is the only heir of Abraham.

My Personal Experiences

In 1981, as the Service Manager for Robertshaw Controls, the company hired a Palestinian draftsman. This was well before the time of CAD drawings. The employee was friendly and engaging. He came to the United States from Kuwait. The job salary was competitive in our industry.

His car was ‘driveable junk.’ I recall seeing the engine compartment, a sight reminiscent of what I once saw in a junkyard.

His work was excellent. His manners were good. The peculiar thing was his passport. The passport featured multiple copies stapled together featuring visas to several Middle Eastern countries.

In 1986, I formed my own business. Around 1987, a young man answered my ad for a computer programmer. This young man’s passport was also Kuwaiti. He came to America on a student visa, but he was not doing well in the local community college and dropped out. When his student visa expired, he left the company. A few months after his departure, an immigration official called to discuss my former employee. After answering his questions, he said, “I assume you are interested in why you got this call. He is suspected of being a member of a terrorist organization.”

In 2000, my divorced son dated a young woman, a banker in Richardson. She was bright, intelligent, and had a story to tell. It was this young woman who reported her suspicions to the FBI. Read: The Federal Bureau of Investigation: No Cash for Terror
Convictions Returned in Holy Land Case

While a corporate account executive with an Illinois-based company, there was a Muslim engineer with whom I worked closely. We developed a friendship that endured. He and I had much in common: we each had four children, all comparable in age. As ‘hard Republicans,’ he and I shared the same political viewpoints. He moved here from Pakistan to enjoy the freedoms found only in America. He loved his new country and would never side with any enemy. His story touches me to this day.

The takeaway? I caution the reader to not assume all Muslims are your enemy. On the other hand, I am convinced there are terrorist cells awaiting orders to carry out attacks on Americans.

“Protecting the United States from terrorist attacks is the FBI’s number one priority. The Bureau works closely with its partners to neutralize terrorist cells and operatives here in the United States, to help dismantle extremist networks worldwide, and to cut off financing and other forms of support provided to foreign terrorist organizations.”—FBI, WHAT WE INVESTIGATE: Terrorism
