Unconstitutional Gun-Grab Underway in Congress: H.R.6575

Over many years, the ‘Swamp’ in Washington, D.C. has transformed the seat of the federal government into becoming our big brother that knows better than we what’s good for us.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. The highest authority under heaven in our country is We the People. This is the essence, the root meaning of the republican form of government. It’s the People’s Thing (res public).

The U.S. Senate is not your daddy and the House of Representatives is not your momma. To be very clear, the president is not your older, wiser big brother, either.

Our Founding Fathers gifted us with an amazing set of rules by which we govern ourselves, the U.S. Constitution. But, how do you know the rules are being followed if you do not know the rules yourself?

In the graphic above, you will see a screenshot of the congressional record on an unconstitutional gun-control bill, H.R.6575.

By an Act of Congress, lawmakers are required to point to the constitutional power that legitimizes a bill. In this case, the author(s) cite Constitutional Authority in Article I, Section 8, Clause 1.

Bill writers use this clause as a catchall to justify otherwise unconstitutional bills. Context is King. What is the context? TAXATION, not firearms.

Pointing to the Bill of Rights: The 2nd Amendment clearly and unmistakably says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Period.

The 10th Amendment, the last on the list of the Bill of Rights, clearly and unmistakably reserves the power to regulate privately-owned firearms to the states. Period.

Laws that do not comply with the definition of the Supreme Law of the Land in Article VI, Clause 2 [ t.ly/Cbf- ], are therefore void and unenforceable. Furthermore, lawmakers that write and pass such laws abdicate their authority. A president that signs such a law also abdicates his authority. Reference: The Christian Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate exemplified in the Declaration of Independence, the 23rd grievance of 27.

I urge you to call or send a text message to your U.S. Representative and to your two U.S. Senators. Tell them to oppose this unconstitutional bill.
