Headline, June 7, 2021, The Epoch Times | 10,864 Venezuelans Pour Into Texas Border Region, Up From 135 Last Year

“Legendary explorer Amerigo Vespucci did not only give his name to America. He also had a hand in the naming of Venezuela. Vespucci served as a navigator on board the 1499 Alonso de Hojeda expedition to the New World. Exploring a placid bay, they named the beautiful place “Little Venice” or Venezuela — and the name has stuck ever since.”, according to ThoughtCo.com

Venezuela and the State of Texas have much history in common. Both are known for oil—Texas Tea, but little known as beneficiaries of the Napoleonic War in the Iberian Peninsula. Napoleon invaded Spain in 1807. Subsequently and consequently, Spanish colonies won independence.

Egomaniacal leaders, some tyrants, some elitists, the most recent, two socialists, have left the once-prosperous oil-rich country dirt-poor.

Socialism was not forced upon the people of Venezuela; they voted for it when they elected Hugo Chávez. The current president, Victor Maduro, lives the good life while the people resort to prostitution rummaging through garbage to survive.

A class of Americans today, generally democrat voters, clamor for democratic socialism, irrespective of the history of this unprovable economic theory.

I notice the Venezuelans desperately breaking into the United States while I know of zero Americans fleeing to Venezuela.

No one more succinctly describes the economic theory of socialism than Sir Winston Churchill: “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.”

What will be the destiny of our beloved America? The Democrats are working hard to destroy the foundations of the greatest country in history, the last bastion of liberty, the last hope of mankind.

By the way, are you registered to vote? Do you know which party promotes socialism? Choose wisely, my friends.

At present, my focus is on self-funding HVAC retrofit projects and indoor air quality with a view to preventing infections from airborne pathogens.
