Democrats versus Republicans: The great divide

The Big Lie

The Democratic Party was always the party of human slavery and, later, the party of societal segregation. Democrat President Harry Truman acted against his party’s traditions when he integrated the Armed Forces with Executive Order 9981 on July 26, 1948.

The Big Lie served to capture the allegiance of black voters. Various news stories repeat the lie that the two major political parties “switched platforms.” Democrats like President Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy believed in personal responsibility, the Rule of Law, and the integration of American society. The only “switch” was the realization by two Democratic presidents of the value of individual lives and our God-given freedoms.

On July 2, 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He did not do this to change his heart toward black Americans; he did it to gain the solid allegiance of black voters to the Democratic Party.

Quoting from the book Inside The White House, “During one trip, Johnson was discussing his Civil Rights bill with two governors. Explaining why it was so important to him, he said it was simple: “I’ll have them niggers voting Democratic for 200 years.”

Snopes attempts to discredit Kessler’s quote of LBJ. Snopes’ full-page argument reinforces the credibility of Johnson’s quote which was consistent with LBJ’s crass behaviors.

A Monarchy vis-à-vis a Republic

Monarchial governments were the rule and not the exception throughout human history.

  • A monarchy is a government or state in which the supreme power is held by a monarch; the word comes from the Greek monarkhsmonarkhēs “one who rules alone.”
  • A republic is a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them. The word republic derives from the Latin phrase rēs pūblica, “the people’s thing.”

Learn an abbreviated history of the Republican Party here.[]A monarchy is inherently atheistic, assuming a god-like position of authority. Citizens of a monarchy are granted their rights by the monarch, who can readily take away their rights, someone who holds supreme authority over the citizens.[]Our constitutional republic is based on the belief that God is our Creator and on the principle of the Rule of Law. As per the Declaration of Independence, governments exist to secure our natural rights.

Emergence of the Republican Party

In the 1850s, the Democrats became more distinct as the party of forced slavery. It was the issue of slavery that gave rise to the Free Soil Party, an anti-slavery movement that became known as the Republican Party.

The first Republican President was Abraham Lincoln, who held office from March 4, 1861 until his assassination. From History.com, “On the night of April 14, 1865, the actor and Confederate sympathizer [a Democrat] John Wilkes Booth slipped into the president’s box at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., and shot him point-blank in the back of the head. Lincoln was carried to a boardinghouse across the street from the theater, but he never regained consciousness and died in the early morning hours of April 15, 1865.

On July 13, 2024, an assassin named Thomas Crooks attempted to kill former President Donald J. Trump, as reported by CBS Pittsburgh.

The Thirteenth Amendment, proposed in 1861 and ratified by the states in 1865, abolished slavery. The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1868, granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States—including formerly enslaved people—and guaranteed all persons “equal protection of the laws.” One of three amendments passed during the Reconstruction era to abolish slavery and establish civil and legal rights for Black Americans, it became the basis for many landmark Supreme Court decisions over the years.

Democratic Party lawmakers readily lie, in public, on House floor, or in the Senate. This was not always so. The presidencies of first Harry S. Truman, and later John F. Kennedy were probably the last top Democrats who, if alive today, would be Republicans.

The differences between the two parties manifest in their respective worldviews on the Rule of Law, speaking truth, and fealty to the Constitution.

John Adams wisely noted, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

He who reigns within himself, and rules passions, desires, and fears, is more than a king.“— John Milton

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.Galatians 5:22-23

The hallmark today of top Democrats is their readiness to lie. As reported in a news story in the Dallas Express on July 14, 2024, Tarrant County Republican Party Chairman Bo French stated, “Following the eight years of lies and attacks from the left on Donald Trump and his supporters, none of us were surprised that they tried to assassinate him. Many of us have been predicting that for some time…We now know, more than ever, that our country has to be rescued from the authoritarian tendencies of the left.” The news story attributes violence against President Trump and conservatives to the highly polarized, leftist-biased mainstream news media.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. —the words of Jesus, John 8:44-45

Lawfare

The Cambridge Dictionary defines Lawfare as the use of legal action to cause problems for an opponent.

The Democratic Party is using lawfare to win elections. Perhaps a better term is liefare. Both liefare and lawfare were employed by the Democratic Party, starting in 2015, to defeat and/or unjustly incriminate President Donald J. Trump. For example, the Russia Collusion hoax that squandered millions of our tax dollars in fruitless federal investigations, confiscations, and prosecutions of President Trump and his associates.

The most egregious uses of lawfare and liefare manifested in the January 6, 2020, corrupted Democrat House committee, the corrupted Senate Democrat majority, and the Department of Justice.

The most recent exhibition of Democratic lawfare is a bill proposed by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)

Politico news story, July 8, 2024: Schumer – Democrats will try to remove immunity from Trump Jan. 6 acts. This move by Chuck Schumer further demonstrates his disdain for the Rule of Law. Article I, Section 9: No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Tennessee Democrats Celebrate & Mock Attempted Assassination of Trump
“A number of Democrat leaders in the Memphis area celebrated and mocked the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. One Trump supporter was killed and two others were critically injured. President Trump was shot in the ear. The gunman was taken out by a Secret Service sniper … State Sen. London Lamar (D-Memphis) drew national scorn for blaming conservatives for the shooting.”
