Gateway Pundit, August 27, 2023: Mike Pence Says He Remains “Confident” That Trump Will Not Be the Republican Nominee (VIDEO)
Quote—Former Vice President Mike Pence, on Sunday, appeared on CBS’s “Face The Nation” and said he was confident that Trump would not be the Republican nominee.
“I remain confident, more confident after Wednesday night that the Republican nominee will not be the former President,” Mike Pence said, referring to Wednesday night’s GOP primary debate.—Unquote
Opinions are like noses: everybody has one. Here is my own.
I will not vote for Mike Pence. His refusal and subsequent anti-Trump statements strongly suggest, strongly indicate, his discord with President Donald Trump. Pence holds the same point of view as the liberal-leaning Republican Senators like Susan Collins from Maine.
On a historic note, Donald Trump was not the first to contest a presidential election. Al Gore protested his loss in 2000. On November 26, 2000, three weeks after Election Day, the state of Florida declared Bush the winner of its 25 electoral votes in the race for U.S. president. Al Gore was not maliciously prosecuted for ‘attempting to overturn‘ a lawful election. Al Gore was not arrested and humiliated with a mugshot.
When President Trump implored Vice President Mike Pence to delay the certification of the 2020 presidential election, the President did so due to an obvious disparity between the vote and suspected voting irregularities. Pence claimed he did not have the authority to do so.
My suspicion: Pence was never on our side, the side of the people who elected Donald Trump in 2016. Did he have the authority to delay certification and require validation of elections in suspect states? Yes, unquestionably. The 12th Amendment stipulates, “the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote.” The chief authority over the certification of Presidential elections is the “President of the Senate,” a prescribed duty of the Vice President, as per Article I, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution: “The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate…“
At the time of the inauguration of Joe Biden as President, the Democrats and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) were the majority in both houses of Congress. This 2022 congressional authority passed the ELECTORAL COUNT REFORM ACT OF 2022 that stripped the Vice President of authority over the Electoral Count certification. The role of the Vice President is now only ceremonial. Joe Biden signed this bill into law on December 29, 2022.
Role of the Vice President. Affirmatively states that the constitutional role of the Vice President, as the presiding officer of the joint meeting of Congress, is solely ministerial and that he or she does not have any power to solely determine, accept, reject, or otherwise adjudicate disputes over electors.

As a matter of fact, Vice President Mike Pence had the sole authority to certify the 2020 Presidential election and the sole authority to require inspection of suspect state electoral votes.
My Opinion of Mike Pence
I express no judgment of Mike Pence. I express only my observations of his behaviors. Is Pence a born-again Christian? He says he is, and I accept that at face value. What few know is Donald Trump is also a born-again Christian, a brilliant man but a ‘baby Christian’ who has not been a disciple but whose new spiritual condition has been recognized by Dr. Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor of the 16,000-number First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, and Lance Wallnau who predicted Trump’s GOP nomination in 2016, contrary to my own expectation.
Mike Pence was incorrect on his authority, whether knowingly or unknowingly. I must say he is now without excuse. The Democrat-passed bill proves beyond any doubt the Vice President had the authority to withhold certification of the 2016 presidential election, as per the U.S. Constitution and the aforementioned Act of Congress

Quoting Lance Wallnau: “Here’s what I believe: somebody with that perspective will get guidance on what’s going to happen… You are not accountable [for] what America does with God. You are accountable [for] what you do with God.”
