California Dreamers make for Thirsty Texans

In a post titled A Primer on Wealth, the importance of local manufacturing is highlighted as the only source of wealth for a given community. If someone manufactures IT, you can become wealthy storing IT, selling IT, shipping IT, and servicing IT, but if there is no IT to store, sell, ship, or service, there is no wealth creation.

Texas has become the new home for Americans from California, New York, New Jersey, and other blue states. Naturally, housing developers have a field day quickly building large new neighborhoods.

Texas has no limit whatsoever to the available land on which to build bedroom communities. There is one little bitty problem: we have a distinct limit on the water resources necessary to support life in Texas.
