The 2022 Texas State Republican Platform is the product of grassroots voters, not a top-down committee.
Platform propositions are first submitted by Republican primary voters at hundreds of Precinct Conventions. Following the precinct conventions, delegates to the hundreds of County Conventions and Senate District Conventions submit other propositions. Delegates to these conventions were chosen at the Precinct Conventions.
Those platform propositions from County Conventions and Senate District Conventions are homogenized, voted on by the delegates to those conventions and then submitted to the Texas State GOP Convention where the Platform Committee and its several subcommittees accept testimonies, and accept input from delegates to the State Convention.
Finally, thousands of delegates to the State Convention further debate the platform before voting on each of the ‘planks’ in the platform.
The Texas State GOP Convention is the largest gathering of Republicans in the entire country, even larger than the National GOP Convention.

Next week, January 9 through January 13, State legislators will be meeting to vote on adopting new chamber rules.
Banning Democrat Chairs is a top legislative priority. Last session, Democrat chairs killed several GOP priority bills, including:
- Business & Industry Committee Chair, Democrat Rep. Chris Turner, killed a religious freedom bill, HB 1569.
- Public Education Committee Chair, Democrat Rep. Harold Dutton, killed a School Choice bill, HB 4537.
- Criminal Jurisprudence Committee Chair, Democrat Rep. Nicole Collier, killed the strongest bill to protect our historic monuments, HB 446, which would have increased criminal penalties for damaging or destroying monuments.
Many other good bills were killed and bad bills advanced by Democrat Chairs, who also used their positions as a platform to push progressivism and raise lobby money to use against Republican candidates in general elections.
Your Texas House District Representative needs to hear from you. A phone call to their Austin office is the most effective way to tell your representative to BAN DEMOCRAT CHAIRS.

If you are unsure of the name of your representative, find him or her via this link:

Please call your Representative’s Austin office and say, “Ban Democrat Chairs”.
Your fellow Republicans will thank you. Your children will one day also thank you.
