Why are church-going homosexuals not Christians?
Using a familiar South Texas homily, “Going to church does not make you a Christian. It is like going into a garage; it does not make you into a car.”

Spiritual Consequences of Homosexuality
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonderful works in Your name?’ But then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil.’ [Psalm 6:8 MEV]
Physical Consequences of Homosexuality
A sexually transmitted infection (STI) is a virus, bacteria, fungus, or parasite people can get through sexual contact. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) develop as a result of an STI. STD implies that the infection has led to some symptom of disease.
Anyone who has sex can get an STI. However, sexually active gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) are at greater risk. MSM have higher rates of syphilis and make up more than half of all new HIV infections.
Whatever else it may be, AIDS is a story, or multiple stories, and read to a surprising extent from a text that does not exist: the body of the male homosexual.”1
Race, class, and sexual orientation continue to shape the HIV epidemic in the United States and around the world, with new infections disproportionately affecting men who have sex with men in Black and Brown communities. Globally, from 2010 to 2019, HIV diagnoses increased by 25% among gay and bisexual men, even as infections in other groups declined.6 In the United States, gay and bisexual men make up nearly 70% of all new HIV diagnoses each year; among them 31% are Black and 25% are Latinx.7

Hope for Homosexuals (and all sinners)

Hope is euphemistically understood as “wishful thinking.” In the context of eternal life, hope means having a “joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation.” The New Testament was written in Greek. The word hope [ἐλπίς/elpis] is a feminine noun from the primary Greek verb elpo. (to anticipate, usually with pleasure). Reference: Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance G1680.
The promise of Romans 10:13 is as much for homosexuals as it is for all sinners.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”[Joel 2:32]
Love
The English word has several definitions. There is brotherly love, patriotism (love of country), erotic love, and others. God’s love is uniquely unconditional. One Biblical example is 1 John 4:8. “Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
This verse is better understood in the Latin or Greek languages. These languages feature multiple words that translate to the English word love.
“Qui non diligit, non novit Deum: quoniam Deus caritas est.” I Ioannis 4:8
In this verse, the verb love is diligit in Latin. Strong’s Concordance G25 defines this word as ἀγαπάω/agapaō, meaning to love unconditionally.
The Latin noun for love is caritas. Strong’s Concordance G26 defines this word as ἀγάπη/agapē, meaning unconditional love.

Warning
If you attend a church that teaches contrary to the Bible, you risk embracing heresy. This positions such teachers, along with their followers, for a bad ending.
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their judgment, made long ago, does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber.
