Personal for Rep. Jasmine Crockett

Start with the NY Post headline: Democratic lawmaker Jasmine Crockett rants about ‘the white man’ during a hearing on the Dismantle DEI Act

I quote:
Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, became upset during a House hearing on Wednesday, which led her to rant about how white men were never oppressed in the United States.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing about the “Dismantle DEI Act”which seeks to weaken diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, Crockett responded to a Republican colleague championing the bill as a “strong response to the oppression of our rights, liberties and freedoms.”

Crockett strongly objected to the Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., using the word “oppression.”
End quote.

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett goes off on “the white man” during a hearing on the Dismantle DEI Act in Washington DC on Nov. 20, 2024.

The history of the transportation of enslaved Africans is helpful for Representative Crockett to know. Britannica: transatlantic slave trade is an easy-to-read historical account even Ms. Crockett can readily digest and explain to others.

In general, African slaves worked on plantations in the southern areas of the United States. Slavery was not a common practice throughout the first thirteen states. In fact, it was the sharp divide between pro-slavery advocates and opponents of slavery.

The slavery issue sharply divided the American people to the point of a brutal and bloody Civil War. The political camps were the pro-slavery Democratic Party and the anti-slavery Republican Party. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican President.

To be clear, Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s Democratic Party was the party of slavery, segregation, and the Ku Klux Klan.

A long and bloody Civil War was fought by ‘white men’ to remove slavery from our country. ‘White men’ also ended societal segregation over the years after the Civil War.

Texas History of Slavery In a Nutshell

Mexico won its freedom from Spain in 1821. Stephen F. Austin began recruiting settlers from the United States in 1825. A year earlier, the Mexican Constitution outlawed slavery. The nascent Mexican government wanted revenue from the Texas territory and acquiesced to slavery in Texas. The only industry in Texas was farming, chiefly King Cotton. The Mexican government understood that cotton farming required slave labor. The processing was also only possible with slave labor, as it was in the southern United States.

Eleven-term President of Mexico from 1833 to 1855, Antonio López de Santa Anna ardently opposed human slavery. The people of Texas revolted against the Mexican government in 1855. The Republic of Texas was established in 1836. Santa Anna’s forces were defeated at the Battle of San Jacinto.

In 1845, Texas joined the Union. Sixteen years later in 1861, the Democrat-led southern states, including Texas, seceded from the United States. The Texas Democrats were divided on the issue of secession. The Dixiecrats were for secession; the Unionists opposed leaving the Union.

Hundreds of thousands of white men fought and died to end slavery in America. White men in Washington, D.C. passed laws to re-integrate the states and to protect the freedmen from retribution from the Democrats.

After the reunification of the southern states with the northern, there were tumultuous years of societal segregation. White men passed laws to remove racial barriers to commerce, education, and government roles for former slaves and their descendants. All along the way, the Democratic Party opposed the integration of our society.

Over the years, all barriers to black Americans were eliminated. White People also passed laws to prefer black workers and entrepreneurs.

But, segregation renewed itself as Democrats turned governments, educational institutions, and businesses against white people. In fact, anyone who was not obviously a white person was afforded privileges. This left white people in the minority here in Texas.

The US government sets aside a percentage of all contracting for so-called ‘minority business enterprises (MBE). Local governments, like the City of Dallas, also allocate a portion of contracting for MBEs.

All ‘non-white’ persons are now considered minorities: Iranians, Pakistanis, Indians (from India), orientals, etc.

The Thirteenth Amendment was proposed by white men and ratified on December 6, 1865. After the Thirteenth Amendment, white men proposed and ratified the Fourteenth Amendment on July 9, 1868. These two amendments outlawed slavery and ensured equal protection of the laws for all persons.

What were the white women doing? Women were not empowered to vote in our elections until the Nineteenth Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) emerged in 2016. DEI inaugurated the re-segregation of American society. DEI is the pet child of the Democratic Party.

Personal to Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett

Your hatred of white people goes beyond people like me. It also extends to the millions of other ‘white people’ who do not want a segregated society.

There are two principles in the Bible you should know.

First: If you do not and cannot love unconditionally, you cannot know God. 1 John 4:8 The verb ‘love’ means unconditional love. The Greek word is agape and the Latin word is diligit. “Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Second: Jesus declares in Matthew 6:15, “ But if you do not forgive men for their sins, neither will your Father forgive your sins.

I do not write to embarrass you but to enlighten and encourage you to make peace with God.

Hopefully, we will meet face-to-face one day.
