In this 2024 general election cycle, the self-righteous declare Donald J. Trump is imperfect. True, as are the self-righteous critics of Donald J. Trump. In fact, you and I are imperfect.
There will come to us a perfect leader, the soon-returning Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Until that time, we have ordinary humans who have weaknesses, imperfections, and sin in our lives. Does not the Bible teach:
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith, in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins previously committed, to prove His righteousness at this present time so that He might be just and be the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.” Romans 3:23-26 MEV
Later, the self-righteous can explain their positions to God. Meanwhile, we are left to choose the better leaders available to us.
