My lifespan from the 1940s through 2023 carries the memories of our formerly segregated society. I saw firsthand Civil Rights Marches in the South. I rode the New Orleans city busses and trolley cars, where Black Americans and White Americans were not permitted to be seated together. I was in Memphis, where I witnessed the garbage strikes, and there, when Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered.
My Aunt Eva taught first-grade children the basics, like how to tell time on a clock. I learned from her about the false notion of “separate but equal” segregated schools. Aunt Eva accepted that false notion until the Wiggins, Mississippi, schools were forcibly #integrated.
I asked her how the integration of the public schools affected her teaching. She answered, “John, for over 20 years, I have taught children how to tell time with a clock. For the first time in my career, I have to teach children what a clock is.”
In my hometown of Palacios, Texas, “The City by the Sea,” our society was divided between Blacks and Whites. Blacks had to live on one side of the railroad tracks, and all other families could live wherever they wished.
A segregated society segregates us in all aspects of life. The post-Civil War segregation in the Southern states segregated opportunity, capital, and people of faith. Aunt Eva’s new students lived in such poverty that their homes had no clocks.
We overcame Southern Democrat Segregation. But, that ugly spirit has been revived under the guise of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), no longer relegated to the South; it’s nationwide.
Under the insidious societal re-segregation enforced by DEI and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Government), we are divided by ethnicity and intellect. No longer do our youth advance on the basis of merit.
Under Bidenomics, the federal government openly invites unvetted immigrants to flood our cities, coast to coast. Recently, in Chicago, Illinois, a “sanctuary city,” illegal aliens held a mass protest demanding citizenship, jobs, and more.
The World Economic Forum (WEF), a one-world-government organization under the leadership of Klaus Schwab, promises you will “own nothing and be happy.” The one-world government model is communism. In all cases of communist governments, freedoms evaporate before your eyes, worship of anyone or anything will be prohibited, as it is in Communist China.
The Democratic (Socialist) Party assumes all non-white people agree with their DEI-ESG scheme. In Dallas, Texas, a black police officer wanted nothing to do with the new segregation. In 2016, Dallas Police Sgt. Demetrick Pennie, a 17-year veteran of the force, sued Black Lives Matter; President Obama; Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton; the Rev. Al Sharpton; Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and billionaire activist George Soros.
The ethnic majority of my State of Texas is Hispanic. Texans of Mexican-American heritage are the salient force against the democratic socialists in our state. Historically, they have not participated in governmental roles, but this is quickly changing.
Our state is unique from all the other forty-nine states. Our collective heritage dates to a time before there was the United States of America, first as New Spain, then Mexico, followed by being an independent country before being united with the USA by treaty. Spanish was commonly spoken in Texas approximately 300 years before the first English-Speaking settlers arrived.
Under Bidenomics, America staggers under a crippling national debt in excess of $32 trillion. President Trump filled our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) with cheap oil; Joe Biden sold about half of the SPR in a ploy to slightly lower domestic fuel prices to placate American consumers.
Under the false premise of anthropogenic ‘climate change,’ the socialistic activists labor to destroy our energy resources, impose draconian social policies, and reduce our population through the abortions of babies in their mothers’ wombs. Communism and atheism are one. Athesim is probably the fastest-growing religion in America. According to the Pew Research Center, if recent trends in religious switching continue, Christians could make up less than half of the U.S. population within a few decades.
What is the future of the United States of America?
Left unchecked, we have an appointment with an economic collapse that will precipitate global economic collapse.
What’s the cure? Is there any hope for America? Yes, as long as there is life, there is hope. The answer to our future is hidden in plain sight in our history.
I arouse the ire of atheists when I point to the facts of the indisputable history of the founding of our country on Judeo-Christian ethics and faith. One example is John Adams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence; judge; diplomat; one of two signers of the Bill of Rights; the second President of the United States; a Christian.
The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.1
Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company: I mean hell.2
The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.3
Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . . What a Eutopia – what a Paradise would this region be!4

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, M.D. says loneliness is now a public health threat so severe that it’s on par with smoking and obesity. “I actually believe we’re on the beginning of a tidal wave of brain and mental health problems in young people, and it’s because we’re more disconnected than ever before, disconnected from our own families because when people are together, their faces are buried in their gadgets,” Dr. Amen told CBN News.
Dr. Amen’s prescription for America is, “Go back to church.”
I start a new Life Group at the Rockwall Campus of Lakepointe Church in August 2023. This group will meet on Saturday evenings following the regular Saturday evening congregation. Worship begins in the main auditorium at 6:00 PM. Life Groups meet at 7:00 PM.
The new Life Group is open to all ages, married or single, and I welcome believers in Jesus Christ and those who do know Him. I was such a person, so I understand people who have no religious upbringing, people who are seeking answers to questions and issues confronting them.
It is not my intention to draw Christians from other churches, but the least, the lost and the lonely who struggle with unanswered questions. This is not to say people from other churches are unwelcome.
The uncertain future we all face is not insurmountable for the people who know their God, those who acquire the ancient wisdom of the Holy Bible.
