Curious, was it not, that Joe Biden’s 2022 Electric Vehicle Summit excluded Tesla CEO Elon Musk?
The Daily Wire opined, “President Joe Biden did not invite Tesla CEO Elon Musk to a summit about electric vehicles, and it may have been because the firm does not have unionized workers.” Bingo!
Benzinga reported, “In a recent interview, TESLA CEO, Elon Musk said about the UAW (the United Auto Workers labor union), “They have so much power over the Whitehouse, they can exclude Tesla from an EV (Electric Vehicle) summit.” The referenced EV summit was held in August of 2021, where President Joe Biden discussed the promising future of Electric Vehicles.”
Musk also said in an interview that “In case that wasn’t enough, then you have President Biden with Mary Barra at a subsequent event, congratulating Mary for having led the EV revolution.” Musk continued “I believe it was in the same quarter that GM delivered 26 Electric Vehicles, and Tesla delivered 300,000.”
The UAW and other labor unions share an inglorious history of corruption. Only GM, Ford, and Chrysler were invited to Joe Biden’s summit.
Biden SAYS he wants “automakers and other companies to keep investing in America. We need them not to take the benefits of our public investments and expand electric vehicles and battery manufacturing production abroad.“
May I state the obvious? The reason GM, Ford, and Chrysler are no longer American brands, is most of their cars are made with non-union foreign labor in other countries. (FYI: my Toyota Sienna is an American-made car.)
