Worldview — Scientia Sit Potentia

I begin with a story. A therapist takes chalk and draws a straight line across the blackboard. “What does that make you think of,” he asks the patient. “Sex,” replies the patient. Then the therapist draws a triangle and asks again. “Sex,” comes the answer again. Finally, the therapist draws a circle and once again the reply is, “Sex.”

Putting the chalk down the doctor says, “I don’t need to go any further. Obviously, you are obsessed with sex.” The patient indignantly retorts, “ME!? You’re the one drawing the dirty pictures!”

“Woke” people only see dirty pictures. “Woke” folk believe they see all things clearly. “Woke” individuals do not see their own bias, overreaction, or falsehood. To them, society is only drawing dirty pictures. Even the act of opening their eyes to reality offends them.

College Bound? Choose wisely…

[Jesus] quoted a proverb: “‘Can a blind man guide a blind man?’ Wouldn’t they both end up in the ditch? An apprentice doesn’t lecture the master. The point is to be careful who you follow as your teacher. — Luke 6:39-40 The Message Bible

What is truly amazing is that a four-year college degree can actually teach students to be stupid. At the very least, numerous students will lack many of the needed critical skills after they graduate. The reason for this is that academics themselves lack some important skills that include: (1) an appreciation of uncertainty; (2) respect for other disciplines; and (3) an understanding of what true diversity is all about.”

Academic paper: Is Higher Education Making Students Dumb and Dumber? by Hershey H. Friedman, Ph.D., Professor of Business, Brooklyn College of the City University of New York

The Bible and Professor Friedman both point to the importance of carefully choosing your teachers.

If you are either a Christian or a Jew, what is your Bible teacher teaching you? What is his or her worldview? Don’t know? Ask!

Before laying out your hard cash for a college education, learn the worldviews of the teachers. How do you do this? Ask!
