The author received an NRA fund-raising recipient and paused to reflect on American constitutional knowledge. Many do not realize that the U.S. Constitution and any treaties or laws pursuant to it, are the Supreme Law of the Land. Notably, UN resolutions are not supreme law, and only a constitutional amendment can alter Amendment II — the right to bear arms. The author encourages support for gun-rights organizations like the NRA.
