Top Secret Aggie ‘Citizenship’ Initiative
The Texas A&M University System has chosen to fight a records request for communications regarding a new “citizenship initiative.”
Mark Welsh, president of Texas A&M-College Station, announced this program in February 2025. He claimed its objective is to produce “great citizens.” He picked retired Brig. Gen. Kim Field, his director of strategic initiatives, to lead the effort, and Professor Hart Blanton, head of the university’s Communication & Journalism department, to oversee a faculty task force to help develop the initiative.
The program aims to engage students in four core areas: character development, knowledge acquisition, skill-building, and civic involvement, Field said.

Illiteracy Compounds Civil Arguments
What is the common denominator of incarcerated persons?
Illiteracy is perhaps the greatest common denominator in correctional facilities. Data collected from the National Adult Literacy Survey (NALS) show that literacy levels among inmates are considerably lower than for the general population. For example, of the five levels measured by the NALS, 70% of inmates scored at the lowest two levels of literacy (below fourth grade). Other research suggests that 75% of inmates are illiterate (at the 12th-grade level) and 19% are completely illiterate. Forty percent are functionally illiterate. In real-world terms, this means that the individual would be unable to write a letter explaining a billing error. In comparison, the national illiteracy rate for adult Americans stands at 4%, with 21% functionally illiterate.

How do Christians rate in Biblical literacy?
In 2024, the American Bible Society partnered with the Barna Group to conduct the “State of the Bible: USA 2024” survey. An interesting aspect of this survey is that they tracked results over three groupings of people: Scripture Engaged, Movable Middle, and Bible Disengaged. They observed that this Movable Middle “lost four percentage points in the last year. This represents more than 10 million people who dropped into the lowest category, the Bible Disengaged.” In other words, when it comes to just reading the Bible, Americans are reading the Bible less.

The term “Christian Nationalism” has been used by the Left as a means of dismissing social conservatives who believe in the role of religion — or Judeo-Christian values — in everyday American life. In this series, Faith and Flag, the Washington Examiner will analyze what it actually means to be a ‘Christian Nationalist,’ why the term is maligned and misunderstood, and what role, if any, it might play in a future Trump administration. Part one looks at what Christian nationalism is.
As the phrase “Christian nationalism” has weaved its way into political discourse, the Left has used it to paint a caricature of a dogmatic Republican voter base focused on stripping rights from Americans.
Illiteracy abounds. The Democrats ignorantly label Republican Christian patriots as “Christian nationalists.” They confuse nationalism with patriotism. The homosexuals (LGBTQ++), the Islamists, and the atheists eschew Christians. This is also true for many Jews. I have to add that many Christians eschew the Jews. Fortunately, in this age of the World Wide Web and the internet, Muslims are beginning to understand Islam’s horrors. The age of information has made this possible.
Conclusion
Using American Jewish Conservatives as an example, conservative Christians and Jews are working side by side. They realize they share a common understanding of the Creator and Israel’s role in end-time prophecies. Western Civilization is a societal construct of Judeo-Christian values. By my count, there are more Messianic Jewish congregations in Israel than in the USA. Most of the Israeli Christians are Arabs. On the day of Pentecost (30 AD), the first Christians in Israel included Arabs who had converted to Judaism. Islam would not be invented until almost seven centuries after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Marxist socialists and Muslims hate Christians and Jews. Marxism is atheism. I categorize Islamists in the Marxist group. The hatred of Christians and Jews is natural for the unbelievers. Atheists, Islamists, militant homosexuals, and leftist Democrats.
Throughout our nation’s history, there have been atheistic patriots, but most patriots share a modicum of Biblical literacy.
Founding Father John Adams observed, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.“
Our major universities have been transformed from institutions of scholarship into institutions of indoctrination.
The hallmark of faithful Christian disciples is unconditional love.
“[Unconditional, Strong’s G26] Love works no evil to a neighbor. Therefore [unconditional, Strong’s G26] love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:10
