The Texas State Republican Party Platform sets the basic standards. These standards apply to all elected personnel who claim the Republican Party as their own.

Why would a candidate run as a Republican but vote like a Democrat? To be sure, there are a few reasons. The number one reason is money, funds received to keep them in office, PACs, special interest groups, and the like. These people are faithless Republicans. Faithless Republicans followed the money and Dade Phelan attempted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton. Faithless Republicans generally do not attend the State Conventions. People who run as Republicans but vote with the Democrats betray their voters.

The Texas House Republican Caucus rules have specific requirements. All Republican Representatives must vote for the Speaker who wins the vote within the Republican Caucus.

The key to electing true representatives is public awareness. In HD-33 we ousted our faithless Republican, replacing him with a tried and true conservative Republican, Katrina Pierson.

Fortunately, the Texas State Republican Party has an outstanding chairman. He supports our party platform, our principles, and our priorities.
