Where is the greatest source of intelligence in America today?

As of 7/4/2023, @ 6:45 am, the U.S. population was 335,012,610 persons. The Biden administration employs 4,000,000 of the whole, leaving 331,012,610 free-thinking Americans out from under the direct control of the administration. Therefore, the administration’s aggregate brain power is merely 1.2% of the aggregate brain power of the citizens of the United States.

Our Founding Fathers were humble men who acknowledged the importance of respecting the opinions of citizens and one another. From their personal communications and their public statements, “We the People” in the preamble to the Constitution; Benjamin Franklin’s admonishment to solidarity, “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately”; the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments); and an observation by Founding Father James Madison: “The people are the only legitimate fountain of power.”

Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution prescribes a Republican Form of Government. The idea of democracy was neither proposed by our Founders nor incorporated into our Constitution. The word republic comes from Latin, rēs pūblica; rēs means thing; pūblica means public. The principle of the republican form of government was articulated in the first three words in the Preamble to the Constitution: We the People.

Often, probably most often, the administrators of governments fall prey to a psychological condition known as Illusory Superiority bias – involving the tendency for individuals to overestimate their positive qualities and underestimate their negative qualities, according to the NIH National Library of Medicine.

I do not suggest that all Americans are of equal intelligence or possess equal knowledge. Instead, I do suggest the aggregate intelligence of the majority of our citizens, outside of federal government employment, possess far superior intelligence than the aggregate of any minority of the whole, particularly government personnel.

“Probably it is true enough that the great majority are rarely capable of thinking independently, that on most questions they accept views which they find ready-made, and that they will be equally content if born or coaxed into one set of beliefs or another. In any society, freedom of thought will probably be of direct significance only for a small minority. But this does not mean that anyone is competent, or ought to have power, to select those to whom this freedom is to be reserved. It certainly does not justify the presumption of any group of people to claim the right to determine what people ought to think or believe.”

“Our freedom of choice in a competitive society rests on the fact that, if one person refuses to satisfy our wishes, we can turn to another. But if we face a monopolist we are at his absolute mercy. And an authority directing the whole economic system of the country would be the most powerful monopolist conceivable…it would have complete power to decide what we are to be given and on what terms. It would not only decide what commodities and services were to be available and in what quantities; it would be able to direct their distributions between persons to any degree it liked.”

Friedrich August von HayekThe Road to Serfdom

Frederich Hayek opposed scientism, the uncritical application of scientific or quasi-scientific methods to inappropriate fields of study or investigation. A glaring example of scientism in our federal government is the unscientific climate alarmism endorsed by Joe Biden, the false prophets like John Kerry, and the Biden underlings. There is no climate emergency, but the Biden administration adopts unscientific and dangerous policies that threaten our economic well-being and our national security. A global network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and professionals in climate and related fields agrees with me.
