Senator Bob Hall, representing Texas Senate District 2, has taken significant actions to enhance Texas’s electric grid security. He has worked to reform elections. Electric Grid Security

  • Tabletop exercise required for preparation: We ensured Texas is ready for emergencies by requiring regular tabletop exercises to strengthen our energy grid response.
  • Created a Council to guarantee electric grid security: We established a dedicated council. It oversees and coordinates the protection of critical infrastructure. This applies across our state.

Elections Reform

  • Early voting gap removal: We closed loopholes in the early voting process to make elections more uniform and fair statewide.
  • Mail-in ballot reform: We strengthened mail-in ballot verification to protect against fraud and preserve voter confidence.
  • Cleaning up the voter rolls: We required regular maintenance of the voter rolls. This ensures only eligible Texans are registered to vote.

Combating Government Corruption

  • Lottery Commission: We exposed waste and mismanagement within the Lottery Commission to restore transparency and accountability.
  • CPS reforms: We passed reforms to protect children and families while increasing oversight of Child Protective Services.

  • Prohibit transgender treatment for minors: We banned irreversible gender transition procedures for minors to protect children from lifelong harm.
  • Prohibit men in women’s sports: We preserved fairness in women’s athletics by ensuring biological males cannot compete in female divisions.
  • Require the use of sex-specific bathrooms in government buildings: We reinforced privacy. We also enhanced safety by requiring sex-specific restrooms in public facilities.
  • A parent’s refusal to support transition is not child abuse: We clarified that parents who oppose gender transition are not committing child abuse.
