My Bible discloses 44 instances of the word ‘prostitute;’ 34 instances in the Old Testament, 10 in the New Testament.

The word prostitute is both a noun and a verb.

  • prostitute, noun
    • a woman who engages in sexual intercourse for money; whore; harlot.
    • a man who engages in sexual acts for money.
    • a person who willingly uses his or her talent or ability in a base and unworthy way, usually for money.
  • prostitute, verb
    • to offer (oneself or another) in sexual activity for money
    • to offer (a person, esp oneself, or a person’s talent) for unworthy purposes

In Las Vegas, prostitution is unlawful. Why is it so common? Money, money, money!

In 2023, Casino lobbyists funded 15 Texas lawmakers and our top elected officials, as reported by Texas Scorecard. In late 2024, the lobbyists added even more money to the reelection coffers of Gov. Greg Abbott and Comptroller Glenn Hegar.

Nevada ranks 12th highest in the nation for suicide. On average, 632 Nevadans die by suicide each year. Deaths by suicide are the leading cause of death in Nevada for ages 10 to 17.

Why No Republican Should Support Casino Gambling

Plank 65 – Gambling: We oppose any expansion of gambling, including legalized casino gambling. We oppose and call for a veto of any budget that relies on expansion of legalized casino gambling of any type or size, whether as a standalone business or partnered with any other business or resort, as a method of finance. We call on all Republican legislators to decline campaign contributions from gambling PACs and lobbyists and oppose any effort from the House leadership or members of the House Calendars Committee to pressure members to vote for expanded gambling. We also call for the repeal of the vague “fuzzy animal” exception to Texas’ anti-gambling laws that allow non-cash prizes to be awarded based on use of eight-liner slot machines.
