Democrat voters: that word ‘democracy’ does not mean what you think it means

Democracy

Democrats, if the text, the facts, and the history are too difficult for you to grasp, go straight to the Summary for a simplification of the meaning of ‘democracy.’

Democracy Now claims to be an independent global news organization unaligned with either major political party. A cursory review of topics and positions on the website reveals a worldview that disputes the claims of independence and no alignment with a political party.

Regarding political party affiliation, its position on the political spectrum rests on the far-left side. How far left? Using the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation as a comparative scale, infrared. A Biblical Christian worldview is to the far right of the spectrum: ultraviolet.

Over the years of my lifetime, more than three-quarters of a century, the clear demarcation between the Republican and Democratic political parties was not atheism. The most deadly war in all American history was the Civil War. In this war, the political division was over the question of slavery.

My 1947 Webster’s Twentieth Century Dictionary Unabridged

My 1947 Webster’s Twentieth Century Dictionary Unabridged defines democracy:
1. Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is lodged in the hands of the people collectively.

The WordReference online dictionary defines democracy:
1. government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power rests with the people and is used directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
2. a state, country, or nation having such a form of government.

Revision of the word ‘democracy’ over 75 years may seem unchanged, but this skbtle change. This phrase, ‘used directly by them or by their elected agents,’ advocates for electing presidents by a popular vote, contravening Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

What is our form of government?

The Declaration of Independence of 1776, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights (amendments 1-10), and Amendments 11-27 are online as searchable text. Your search for the words democracy, democrat, and democratic will be fruitless.

Why?

Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution stipulates, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government…”

Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence was abroad in France when the present-day U.S. Constitution was developed. There, Jefferson collected many books on forms of government and shipped that collection to James Madison who pored over them.

“The determined Madison had for several years insatiably studied history and political theory searching for a solution to the political and economic dilemmas he saw plaguing America. The Virginian’s labors convinced him of the futility and weakness of confederacies of independent states. America’s own government under the Articles of Confederation, Madison was convinced, had to be replaced. In force since 1781, established as a “league of friendship” and a constitution for the 13 sovereign and independent states after the Revolution, the articles seemed to Madison woefully inadequate. With the states retaining considerable power, the central government, he believed, had insufficient power to regulate commerce. It could not tax and was generally impotent in setting commercial policy it could not effectively support a war effort. It had little power to settle quarrels between states. Saddled with this weak government, the states were on the brink of economic disaster.”—Constitution of the United States—A History

“When the Federalist-dominated Pennsylvania assembly lacked a quorum on September 29 to call a state ratifying convention, a Philadelphia mob, in order to provide the necessary numbers, dragged two anti-Federalist members from their lodgings through the streets to the State House where the bedraggled representatives were forced to stay while the assembly voted. It was a curious example of participatory democracy.

Until 1787, our government was a democracy, a confederation of the 13 states.

Founding Father John Adams was known for describing a democracy as mob rule, tyranny of the majority.

“Writing just days after Massachusetts ratified the Constitution , Madison brings together his previous work on Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances to demonstrate how it is the best republican government for the United States as it stood during the late 18th century…He stresses that the Constitution, as written, will prevent a tyranny stemming either from the minority or the majority…Madison acknowledges that separating power between branches could not be done equally…Further, in a republican government, the legislative branch has a better opportunity to seize power than the judicial or executive branches.”—summary of Federalist #51, February 8, 1788, James Madison

Democracy is Anathema to Individual Liberty

How often does Joe Biden describe our federal government as a democracy?

The Democrats in your neighborhood labor to destroy our republican form of government. The flood of illegal aliens flowing over our unprotected borders are targeted to be given the right to vote. You can be sure they will vote Democrat.

Already, Maryland, California, Illinois, Vermont, the District of Columbia, New York, and Massachusetts allow non-citizens (aka illegal aliens) to vote in local elections.

Democracy Now! disavows partisan alliance with the Democratic Party, but actions speak louder than words. Elected members of Congress espouse hatred of Jews and demand a ceasefire in Gaza. Democrats support Hamas, the murderous thugs who raped Jewish citizens, beheaded Jewish men, women, and children, and even roasted Jewish babies to death in ovens as their parents watched.

There is no space between all the atrocious, unholy things for which Democracy Now! advocates and those atrocious, unholy things for which the Democratic Party advocates.

Refugees from every nation on Earth have come to the United States of America for centuries. If the Democrats destroy our Republic, to what country can patriotic Americans flee?

Summary

Allowing illegal aliens—noncitizens—to vote and overriding the U.S. Constitution to elect presidents by popular vote will swiftly bring to an end our hard-won freedoms.

When our forefathers fought against the tyranny of King George III, a great body of water physically separated the thirteen colonies from Great Britain.

If you need prototypes of once-free nations sliding toward tyranny, look to Australia and Canada. Both countries are democracies by which personal freedoms are in a free fall.

A raw democracy would doom our nation to mob rule. Mob rule would doom us to irreversible tyranny.

If the text above is too complicated for a Democrat to understand. Here is the simplified summary:
