IN THE BIBLE
As recorded in Exodus, Circa 1446 B.C., the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt began. The first enemy encountered was Amalek, chief of the Amalekites [Exodus 17:8-15].
Through the power of Jehovah Nissi (The Lord is my Banner), Amalek was soundly defeated. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and rehearse it to Joshua, for I will utterly wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”
Haman the Aggagite, arch-villain of Megillat Esther, was a 16th-generation descendant of Amalek. The Megillah (scroll) recounts the genocidal plot hatched by Amalek’s descendant — (circa 473 B.C.) 1,000 years after the Exodus — targeting the descendants of those early Israelites. learn more
The Jewish people are commanded to remember Amalek, as recorded in Deuteronomy 25:17-18: “Remember what Amalek did to you by the road when you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you by the way and attacked at your rear all that were stragglers behind you, when you were exhausted and weary. He did not fear God.”
IN THE YEAR 2023 A.D.
Today, descendants of Amalek surround Israel. They are in Gaza, Judah (aka The West Bank), Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran. It grieves me to say that Amalekites live here in the United States of America.
In a recent speech, Benjamin Netanyahu invoked the name of this ancient enemy. In the video below, Netanyahu calls out the Amalekites and reminds the Israeli people they must wipe them out.
Why would Mr. Netanyahu mention the Amalekites? Both Jews and Muslims know their respective histories, the Jews, exclusively recorded history in writing, best known as the Old
Testament.
Tragically, few Christians actually study the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments. I suggest you bookmark my website’s History of Jews in the Middle East. This page documents the history of the Jews from the birth of Abram in 2100 B.C. to 2023 A.D. — over 4,000 years. Learn the geographical locale of the genesis of the nation of Israel. Curious? Read what happened in 2067 B.C. and note where the event occurred. Why is this important? Is the ownership of Gaza important?

Preparation is of paramount importance.
Any law-abiding Texas resident of majority age can carry a handgun without a license.
Yes, you can swagger with your firearm. However, I strongly suggest you become trained on the law and proper handling of your handgun.
My wife and I have been licensed since the 30.06 law was enacted. Texans with a License to Carry (LTC) enjoy more freedom with their concealed or openly carried firearms.
Read:
Penal Code Section 30.05, Criminal Trespass,
(f) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that:
(2) the person was carrying:
(A) a license issued under Subchapter H (Definitions), Chapter 411 (Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas), Government Code, to carry a handgun; and
(B) a handgun:
(i) in a concealed manner; or
(ii) in a holster.
Firearms Training
The National Rifle Association (NRA) Firearm Training. Travel to this resource is to be expected, along with hotel and dining expenses. The NRA also provides online training from the comfort of your home.
Training is available through the Veterans Of America Gun Club.
Look locally to minimize your investments in time and out-of-town travel expenses. For example, a Google search of firearms training near Rockwall, Texas, yielded numerous local opportunities.
INSURANCE
The U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) is an excellent source for insurance, firearms training, and useful information like reciprocity agreements and state laws.
In Closing…
Be intentional about acquainting yourself with local law enforcement officers. Do not be surprised if one or more are unfamiliar with the abovementioned laws. Law enforcement officers are real people like you. People like you and me do not and cannot know everything about gun laws.
Knowledge is power. Ignorance is a choice.
