Tracking the US State Department— Vietnam 1945 to Israel 2023

Text of my Message to Congressman Pat Fallon

Rep Pat Fallon,

As Winston Churchill noted, “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.”

The ‘Deep State’ is an enemy within our borders, a bevy of unelected bureaucrats that betray the foundations of our nation and its people. I call for Cong. Pat Fallon to investigate the State Department.

As per Article I, Section 8, only the Congress has authority to declare war. the 11th clause:

The Congress shall have Power…”To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water”

The War Powers Act of 1973 is a congressional resolution designed to limit the U.S. president’s ability to initiate or escalate military actions abroad.

The U.S. Department of State has no constitutional authority to declare war, to end war, or to make the rules for engaging an enemy or supporting an ally.

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability should immediately investigate the Deep State bureaucrats, salaried employees of the federal government for their interference in the murderous attacks on our ally Israel.

Any American who will support both sides of a war is generally known as a traitor, a Benedict Arnold.

Vietnam

Before the outbreak of WW2, France controlled a vast colonial empire. After the fall of France to Nazi Germany, the Southeast Asian colonies became the victims of the Empire of Japan. Subsequently, focusing on the Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh led the defense of his part of the world against Japan and alongside the United States.

After Japan’s unconditional surrender, Ho Chi Minh expected to be treated as a nation of equals.

State Department officials, under Secretary of State Edward Reilly Stettinius Jr. (1944-1945), advised Harry Truman, who became president in 1945 upon Roosevelt’s death, that French rule of Vietnam would lead to “bloodshed and unrest.” But Truman did not share his predecessor’s (FDR’s) anti-colonialism and ultimately acquiesced to the re-establishment of France’s prewar empire, which he hoped would shore up France’s economy and national pride. source

Ho Chi Minh developed an affinity for communism, a statist worldview that fits with an oriental worldview. Throughout the re-colonization of Southeast Asia by the French, Ho sought financial and other support from communist China and the communist USSR. But, other than minimal medical assistance, neither wanted to engage in warfare with the United States.

After the defeat of the French army at Dienbienphu, Nikita remarked in his biography Khrushchev Remembers, Chapter 19, pages 482-483, “I’ll confess that when we were informed of this news from Geneva, we gasped with surprise and pleasure.” Khrushchev realized the communists could now win the war in Vietnam.

Secretary of State John Foster Dulles (1953-59), along with President Harry S. Truman and successive U.S. presidents, subscribed to the domino theory.

By the time of the withdrawal of U.S. armed forces from South Vietnam, “More than 3 million people (including over 58,000 Americans) were killed in the Vietnam War, and more than half of the dead were Vietnamese civilians.

Today, in the year 2023, “Twenty-seven (now 29) years after the establishment of bilateral relations in 1995, the United States and Vietnam are trusted partners with a friendship grounded in mutual respect. U.S.-Vietnam relations have become increasingly cooperative and comprehensive, evolving into a flourishing partnership that spans political, economic, security, and people-to-people ties. The United States supports a strong, prosperous, and independent Vietnam that contributes to international security,” according to the U.S. State Department.

Imagine how different life in America would have been if Ho Chi Minh’s Vietnam had become a nation of equals, as Vietnam is today, in 2023.

Israel

Reported by the Washington Post, October 25, 1995, “Congress yesterday overwhelmingly approved a bill aimed at forcing the United States to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by mid-1999, affirming support for the Jewish state and demonstrating renewed sensitivity to its importance in American politics.”

Why did the U.S. State Department oppose following the law to move our embassy? “The State Department’s insistence on the diplomatic fiction that none of Jerusalem is
part of Israel helps preserve the Palestinian hope that, someday, Israel will be forced
to give up its capital and will be destroyed as the independent, democratic Jewish state.” source

On November 8, 2017, in a written statement to the House Committee on Oversight Committee, John R. Bolton, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, wrote, “I believe that recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city and relocating our Embassy there on incontestably Israeli sovereign territory would be sensible, prudent and efficient for the United States government…Relocating the Embassy would not adversely affect negotiations over Jerusalem’s final status or the broader Middle East peace process, nor would it impair our diplomatic relations among predominantly Arab or Muslim nations.”

As reported by Fox News on December 6, 2017, Trump officially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, orders embassy move for US—“I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” the president said during a speech in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House.

In a news conference in early November, President Joe Biden appropriately and accurately described the Hamas attack on Israel as barbarity (my word). He said, “We stand with Israel. We’ll be sure [Israel] has what it needs to take care of its citizens, to defend itself, and respond to this attack.” Listen to his full statement in the video below.

Underscoring his support of Israel, in late October, Biden said there should be no cease-fire in the Isarel-Hamas war until the hostages are released. source

Then comes the State Department and the administration staff, and Joe Biden now promotes a surrender by Israel. Read December news stories for updates:

So, I must ask, Who is in charge of the Administrative Branch of our federal government?

My fellow Americans, the enemy within our borders is a more dangerous enemy than those enemies outside our borders.

According to the Bible, the Word of God, there are somber warnings for nations that speak evil of Israel or attack God’s chosen people and rewards to those nations that bless and protect Israel.

In summary, if our nation supports Israel morally, logistically, spiritually, and politically, we will do well. On the other hand, if we succumb to the enemy within our borders and neglect our responsibilities to Israel, we will be stricken from the world’s history books.

As a passing thought, the End Times scriptures omit any reference to the United States of America. Knowledge is power; ignorance is a choice.

As the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
